Basel ’08: Ball Trainmaster Five Time Zone

4/7/2008 4:42:00 PM

The Ball Watch Company makes a great leap forward with this five time zone wonder. An excellent timepiece for the global trader, it offers the time in four major metropolitan financial hubs: London, Hong Kong, Tokyo and New York.

It even offers discreet recessed buttons to correct for daylight saving times. The advantage of using subdials (here with rotating discs instead of hands) is that the watch remains exceedingly clean, for a multiple timezone piece.

At this time, the company offers the four cities pre-determined, pre-set and synchronized. Manual intervention to change the settings is impossible so it will need to be corrected by Ball if one wants to set one of the times to a different city.

Water resistant to 50 meters and measuring 43mm in diameter, the watch is only available in stainless steel.
