Geneva ’08: Audemars Piguet Concept Tourbillon

Le Brassus-based Audemars Piguet continues to demonstrate their strength and know-how in working with forged carbon – the only great house with such capabilities – with this statement watch, a follow-up to their 2002 Concept Tourbillon.

Featuring an unusual combination of totally contemporary materials, the Concept Tourbillon also experiments with the rendition of time through the unusual chronograph minute counter, which borders on digital representation.

Both the movement and the case are executed in carbon, along with ceramics, titanium and eloxed aluminium. The movement is the manual winding caliber 2895, with an amazing power reserve of 237 hours, and the watch is water resistant to 100 meters.
