Famed for its iconoclastic watches, the Manufacture Roger Dubuis has fought to be taken seriously as a watch manufacture, producing not only flamboyant watches with creative designs but also technical masterpieces.

Its previous Excalibur and SAW collections are proud testaments of the manufacture’s resolve. Roger Dubuis founder Carlos Dias is quietly confident that the new KingSqaure collection would be another winner.

Offered in both men’s and ladies’ models (a 40mm case for men and 36mm for women), this square-shaped watch immediately catches the eye with its unique triple-faceted sapphire crystal, both front and back. The watch case is a mixture of gold or titanium with rubber.

The men’s collection comes in three versions, including a flying tourbillon, and another with a skeletonized dial featuring the KS02 “code name”, calling attention to the watch’s movement number RD02SQ.

The ladies’ collection comes in two versions (one equipped with a flying tourbillon), and is easily differentiated from the men’s by the flowery patterned dial surrounding a central guilloche zone.

A limited 28-piece ladies edition of the KingSquare in white or rose gold, features a skeletonized dial with an intriguing lattice of openworked hearts.

The tourbillon carriage is decorated with three hearts and a blued small seconds hand shaped to resemble a Cupid’s arrow. Two of the hearts are adorned with rubies, one each for front and back.

Valentine’s Day may be long gone but you can still make your lady’s heart melt with this majestic gem.
