Swiss watchmaking brand Hysek is treading the manufacture
path this year with the Abyss Tourbillon. This is the first watch from the
brand to feature an in-house designed and executed movement.
Long a leading
horological design firm, Hysek now aspires to directly execute more of its own
astounding designs.
Limited to 30 pieces, the Abyss Tourbillon features an
exposed movement but, to the credit of Hysek, they do not call this a skeleton
watch.
In fact, no classic finishing (snailing, anglage etc) is present on the
movement, leaving it highly contemporary indeed. Note the unusual shape of the
tourbillon bridges and the ‘H’ inserts in the strap.
