Independent Swiss fine watchmakers Chronoswiss is releasing the Edition Zeitzeichen range of skeletonized watches. Founder Gerd-Rüdiger Lang is well known both for his fondness of tradition and savvy for the spirit of the times, or zeitgeist.

These seemingly contradictory impulses are expressed in the extraordinary hand work in three areas that characterize Edition Zeitzeichen watches: skeletonizing, engraving and guilloche.

A master of all three skills, Jochen Benzinger put his abilities to the test with this strictly limited edition series. Employing hand-driven machines and their own dexterous hands, Benzinger’s team has made masterpieces of the ETA movements powering the watches. Unlike the Franc Villa piece we featured, these watches are an entirely traditional interpretation of contemporary watchmaking.
