High jewelry house Van Cleef & Arpels prides itself on
its reputation for creativity and, with the quantiemes de saisons Les Jardins
watches at SIHH 2009, continues to deliver feminine and intimate
interpretations of time.
With this series of four watches, each of which is
limited to 100 pieces, four gardens have inspired the creation of four Grand
Feu enamel dials. Each dial is partially hidden by a sublime mother-of-pearl
section that plays a crucial role in the magic of these watches.
Aside from being incredibly striking, these dials (fired at
800 degrees Celsius) rotate on the 365-day pattern of the brand’s 2006 poetic
complication. This of course means that one’s perspective on the dial changes
every day. Each version is in white gold, with diamonds and alligator straps.
