American jewelry and timepiece designer David Yurman introduces his
signature twisted helix cable design to traditional Swiss watchmaking
in the new men’s timepiece collection, the Classic Collection.
The brand takes its cues from the recent return to traditional ideas
and aesthetics, as seen in the collections of the major brands at the
Swiss watch fairs. All three watches in the new collection are round
and range in diameter from 43.5mm to 46mm.
The Three Hand watch is a simple time-only automatic watch (ETA 2892-2
movement) while the Moon Phase includes day, date and month indicators
as well as the eponymous moon phase display (Dubois-Depraz 9000
movement on an ETA 2892-2 base).
Rounding out the Clasic Collection is the Chronograph, which at 46mm is
biggest offering. The small seconds counter is at 3 o’clock while the
45-minute counter occupies the 9 o’clock position. The movement is the
Dubois-Depraz chronograph module on the same ETA base as the other
Classic Collection movements.
